10 different municipalities across Manitoba will be receiving funding towards projects to build and repair bridges.

Indigenous and Municipal Relations Minister for Manitoba Eileen Clarke made the announcement Wednesday that a total of $1.9 million dollars would be invested into these projects.

Of the 10, the Road 100W Bridge in the Municipality of Clanwilliam-Erickson will receive just over $220,000 dollars.

As far as when these projects will begin, Minister Clarke says that's not up to them.

"It's up to the municipality, there has likely been some work started on these projects already. In some cases, bridges have to be engineered, and additional work has to be done before they can start."

Clarke added, "Project costs will be shared 50-50 between the province and local municipalities."
