A celebration of Ukrainian culture is also supporting it.
The Dauphin Kings' and Ruff's Furniture's Ukrainian Night raised about $5,100 between auctioning off the special Ukrainian jerseys and the kielbasa toss.
Ryan Rauliuk of Ruff's Furniture says proceeds are going to benefit the Dauphin Kings and two local Ukrainian programs.
"$2,500 was donated back to the Dauphin Kings... a total of $3,000 was donated to... Smith-Jackson School and the Sche Raz dancers."
As well, two authentic Washington Capitals jerseys donated by coach Barry Trotz are going to the Bratsva Dance Studios and the Zirka Dance Ensemble.
