One of the Parkland's own is the new president of Manitoba Beef Producers.
Ben Fox, president of the Dauphin Ag Society, was elected MBP president at their annual general meeting in Brandon last week.
He says he looks forward to being able to do it.
"It's a big job but there's a really good board of directors and good staff within Manitoba Beef Producers, and I look forward to meeting the challenges."
Heinz Reimer is the outgoing president. He will remain on the board for one year, then retire.
