Brandon RCMP have arrested and charged four males, and one male is still wanted for their alleged involvement in a crime ring that focused primarily on shops and outbuildings on rural properties around Brandon.

The suspects are accused of stealing numerous trucks, snowmobiles, ATVs, firearms and a variety of tools.

Police say two search warrants executed in Brandon and Carberry in January resulted in numerous stolen goods being recovered, including five firearms.

23-year-old Curtis Sutherland of Ebb and Flow, 23-year-old Nicholas McKay of Brandon, 23-year-old Quinn Starr of Carberry, and 22-year-old Preston Whitford of the RM of Alonsa are charged with theft and firearm related offences.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of 23-year-old Richard Cole Ross of Brandon in relation to the thefts.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Brandon RCMP or Manitoba Crime Stoppers.

The investigation is ongoing.
