Boxes of Love Turns 10, Still Going Strong

The first Boxes of Love fundraiser of the year will be at the Super 8 this Friday.

Co-founder of the charity Lindsay Rubeniuk says this is their tenth year, and they've raised more than $100,000 to date.

"We have estimated in terms of supplies and funding over $100,000, so that works out to around $10,000 a year. So we hope to keep within that, we hope to raise $10,000 or more this year.

Rubeniuk says they're planning three fundraisers this year, and the first is a supper and spa night at Dauphin's Super 8 this Friday evening. The idea was conceived by some local Mary Kay reps.

Rubeniuk is encouraging people to get their tickets in advance by contacting Stephanie Jaddock. Tickets are $25 and proceeds go to Boxes of Love.
