Dauphin Rec Services is calling all bike enthusiasts.
Bike Week begins on Monday in the City of Sunshine. It runs from June 9 to 15.
Tamara Kolida is the programs and promotions coordinator with Dauphin Rec Services.
"We want to encourage people to get on their bikes," said Kolida. "Bike to school, bike to work. We have a very short summer season, so we want to encourage people to get outside on their bikes and enjoy while they can."
Some sweet prizes will be up for grabs. So when biking around the city next week, post a photo on their Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Make sure you tag it #dauphinbikeweek. That will put you into the draw for daily prizes.
"Each day, we're going to encourage you to do different things," ended Kolida. "Including biking to work, biking to school, and biking to the playground with your family. We want to see some selfies of you on your bike. We'll encourage people to hit trails, whether it's Meadowlark Park, Northgate Trails, or through Vermillion."
It's also important for those driving around town next week to be extra careful. Many kids will be biking around town, so be extra cautious when you're out and about.
