After a tough shootout loss one night prior, the Parkland Rangers came out slow and the Winnipeg Thrashers capitalized in beating the Rangers, 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at Credit Union Place.

If news around Winnipeg could get any worse, perhaps it did on Saturday, as not only did the Winnipeg Blue Bombers lose 36-27 against the BC Lions, but they also lost Matt Nichols.

Domination was the name of the game for the Gilbert Plains JV girls volleyball team this weekend as they headed to Killarney for a volleyball tournament, and thanks to their domination, they will return Champions.
