It was another great weekend for Dauphin's Breken Brezden as she took part in a Super Skate in Winnipeg.
On Saturday Breken skated in the short program and won gold with a score of 22.32. On Sunday, she took part in her final race of the weekend and won a silver medal with a score of 40.94 in the free long program race.
"She always looks at the tapes after the race, and knows she can do better," said Brian Brezden, Breken's Father. "She didn't do her personal best this weekend, and that's what she's always trying to achieve. She's happy overall, but she wants to work harder and improve each time out."
Breken will now practice throughout December and January, before the Manitoba Open in February. At the beginning of March, Breken will then take part in the Manitoba Winter Games.
