Ste. Rose's Brody Claeys is off playing NCAA Division 1 hockey for the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves hockey team.

"It's going really good so far," said Claeys. "Everyone can shoot, and play. It's like playing against the top three players on any junior team in practice every day.

Claeys is coming off playing for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs last season.

"It's definitely a whole different experience dealing with going to school as well."

Claeys began his junior hockey career back in 2013-14 with the OCN Blizzard where he played just over two seasons before going to play for the Bulldogs. Last season, he had a 3.09 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 45 games for the Dogs.

"I've gotten used to playing against some pretty high skilled players during my time playing for the Bulldogs and Blizzard," said Claeys. "Every time a guy comes down you have to be focused, or they'll make you look stupid. It's just about putting in some extra work and working hard at practice every day."

Brody and the rest of the Seawolves take part in the Green and Gold Game on Friday, September, 29 before kicking off their preseason one day later against Simon Fraser University.
