Kevin Saurette has been named to new Director of Operations with the MJHL.

 

Commissioner Kim Davis announced today that Kevin Saurette will fill the position of Director of Operations.

Kevin Saurette of Brandon has an extensive hockey background across several levels of hockey.

He started his major junior career with the Regina Pats in 1997 and rounded out his junior career with the SJHL's Kindersly Klippers in 2001.

He spent the next five years playing for the University of Manitoba before playing between the ECHL's Reading Royals and the AHL's Binghamton Senators until 2008.

In 2008 Saurette headed across the pond to play in the Germany 2 and 3 leagues. 

Midway through the 2012-13 season Saurette made the jump to Ireland to play with the Belfast Giants of the UK's Elite Ice Hockey League before calling it quits at the end of the 2014-15 season. 

Saurette earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Ulster - Belfast while playing for the Giants. His hockey experience and education combine to provide him with unique perspectives which are sure to be beneficial to any hockey organization.
