They were nearly perfect in the round-robin and capped the event with a championship.
The Gilbert Plains Trojans junior varsity girls' volleyball team competed in the Elton tournament over the weekend. In the finals, the Trojans beat Carberry in three sets, 25-11, 20-25, 16-14. In their previous two playoff matches against Glenella and Hamiota, Gilbert Plains rolled with back-to-back sweeps.
They also won five of six sets in the round-robin against Elton, Killarney and Erickson.
