Kyan Grouette scored just 15 seconds into overtime on Tuesday night as the Parkland U18 Rangers snapped their four-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over the Yellowhead Chiefs.
Grouette took a pass from Jayce Legaarden just 15 seconds into overtime and the Everett Silvertips prospect put it to the back of the net.
The goal also completed a come back as Yellowhead scored the first two goals of the game.
Legaarden scored Parkland's first goal of the game and Matthew Munro tied the game late. In the end, Grouette ended the game.
Brenden Birch-Hayden was solid, making 24 saves.
Parkland improved to 3-3-1 and moved ahead of Yellowhead in the standings.
