Two fires broke out early this morning in Dauphin.
Dauphin Fire Chief Cameron Abrey explains what happened.
“Shortly before 2 am Dauphin Fire was dispatched for reports of a shed on fire behind the Dauphin Rec Centre, or Credit Union Place. Upon arrival we found the broadcast booth/ concession booth at the old Brewers Diamond was fully engulfed in fire. So fire fighters controlled the fire, extinguished it, unfortunately the building was a total loss.”
Another fire was reported shortly after and Abrey gave us the details.
“Then shortly after 2 at approximately 2:25 am we were notified by RCMP of a vehicle fire on 5th Ave SW. So we dispatched a second crew to that fire while the initial crew was still cleaning up the structure fire.”
