Dr. Jon Gerrard will be in Dauphin tomorrow to speak with local residents about mental health issues.

Outreach Manager for the Mood disorders Association of Manitoba—Parkland, Eleanor Snitka, speaks about the gathering the organization is hosting when Gerrard comes to town.

“He’s going to be in the region, he’s going to be in Dauphin on Thursday. And, ah, Dr. Gerrard is running for the Liberal Leadership position as people probably know. And he’s also an advocate for mental health. So that’s the reason I got this phone call. So we’re going to have a little greet and speak or greet and meet at the CMHA Echo Apartment. It’s at 125 1st Ave. SW. And, Um, people can come have a coffee and talk to him and ask him any questions or any concerns that they might have with mental health system as it is in Manitoba right now.”

This meeting will be a time for individuals to voice their concerns about mental health issues and supports in Dauphin and the province.
