An estimated 200-250 cubic meters of Husky Energy oil spilled into the North Saskatchewan River last week.

Manitoba says its receiving regular updates on the cleanup and there are no risks to water supplies in any Manitoba communities at this time.

Still, discussions are underway with The Pas to determine alternative water sources.

Farewell to Philae

The European Space Agency is switching off its radio link to the probe that landed on a comet, after receiving no signal from the lander for a year.

It says the decision to shut down a communications instrument on the Rosetta spacecraft today was taken to conserve energy.

Rosetta had used the instrument to communicate with its lander, Philae, which touched down on a comet in November 2014.

Rosetta will use its remaining power to conduct scientific measurements before it crash-lands on the comet September 30th.
