COVID-19 enforcement officers handed out a total of $30,590 worth of fines to Manitobans last week.
27 tickets were handed out last week – seven were for gatherings against health orders, and 16 were for not wearing a mask in indoor public places.
One of the $5,000 fines issued last week was to the Church Of God Restoration in Steinbach for holding services against public health orders.
Churches and all places of worship in Manitoba are now allowed to hold services, but they must be at 10% capacity with physical distancing measures in place for those not from the same household.
Last week, one ticket was issued for breaking the Federal Quarantine Act -- the individual was given a $1,750 ticket.
