Have you ever thought of a career in health care?

If so, Prairie Mountain Health could be a great fit for you. There are job openings within dietary, laundry and housekeeping, nursing, and recreational workers.

Larissa Kominko with PMH says there are also openings in occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and respiratory therapy is in high demand.

Those are just a few of the openings currently available in the communities that PMH serves.

Many entry-level jobs require a grade nine or 10 high school education.

Kominko says PMH offers a diverse career path.

"You can try one area or department and then move into another," said Kominko. "It's very rewarding and meaningful work. There are health care benefits, vacation time, and wellness opportunities. It's nice to have that team atmosphere that PMH offers."

Kominko said there are also opportunities to advance your career throughout PMH. You could start with an entry-level job and move up to become a supervisor.

"So you start in one area of health care, but you end up working in another because you've come into the system and see there are other opportunities," ended Kominko. "You can definitely promote yourself if you're ambitious, willing, and want to learn more. There are definitely opportunities for promotion."

Prairie Mountain Health employs more than 7,500 people who work together to improve the physical, mental, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of individuals and families.
