Through their Community Festivals and Events Program, the Province of Manitoba is providing $221,800 in funding to rural Manitoba festivals, with a few Parkland entries on the list.

In the announcement, Sport, Culture, Heritage, and Tourism Minister Nellie Kennedy said festivals help to make Manitoba a more exciting place for residents and visitors alike.

"From major cultural celebrations to community events in towns and cities across the province, these investments help create vibrant experiences for residents and visitors while supporting artists, businesses and volunteers," said Kennedy.
