The Dauphin Kings have remained inside the top 20 as the Canadian Junior Hockey League released their weekly top 20 rankings.
Dauphin is now ranked ninth as the Manitoba Junior Hockey League has three teams in the top 10. Steinbach is fourth while Winkler is fifth.
The Kings are coming off a split over the weekend which saw them beat Neepawa on Saturday before dropping a game against Winkler on Sunday. Despite Sunday's loss, the Kings are still 13-3 on the campaign which has them tied with Virden for first place in the West Division; however, the Kings do have two games in hand on the Oil Capitals.
Dauphin has won six of their last seven games and they still rank second in goals against this year with just 37 beating either Cole Sheffield or Austin Seibel. To note, Seibel won his second straight start on Sunday after he put together a tremendous performance full of 33 saves in the team's victory.
On Saturday, Blake Boudreau scored a pair of goals. Boudreau has now scored multiple goals in games on three different occasions this year and he now has nine goals on the campaign, which is tied for the team lead with Logan Walker. Anthony Bax continues to lead the team in scoring with 18 points as he scored a pair of goals over the weekend.
Coming up for the Kings is just a lone game this week on Friday, but it is an important one. The club will be hosting Ag Appreciation Night and more than $10,000 in prizes will be won. As a bonus, tickets to get into the game are just $7 for everyone.
