It was a perfect weekend for the Dauphin Clippers varsity volleyball program.
Hosting their home tournament, both the boys and girls team captured a championship, just weeks ahead of hosting the provincial championships at Credit Union Place.
On the girls side, the Clippers won all three of their matches in the round-robin and they did not lose a single set. In fact, they didn't give up more than 19 points in a set during the round-robin. They then beat the Clippers second team and followed that up with a solid straight set win against Ste. Rose.
Dauphin then went up against the top-ranked team in the province at the 'AA' level in the Major Pratt Trojans and the Clippers made quick work of them winning in straight sets, 25-19 and 26-24.
On the boys side, the Clippers also dominated their competition. They hammered Ebb and Flow in straight sets and then made very quick work of Swan Valley in the finals, 25-11 and 25-11.
The Clippers program will host the provincial event at Credit Union Place from November 30 to December 2.
