Grady Hobbs has done great things within the MJHL this season and now he's doing great things when the SJHL gets involved.

The Dauphin King was named to Team Zajac for the MJHL/SJHL Showcase and he earned the Player of the Game award as the team skated to a 4-1 win in their first game earlier today.

Hobbs opened the scoring with a nice shot from the left circles as the team beat Team Mitchell from the SJHL. Nakodan Greyeyes had an assist on the goal.

Carter Sawchuk also scored a goal in the win. Baron Thompson and Brayden Pawluk are also playing on the team that will play one more game tomorrow.

In other action when it comes to Dauphin players, Cole Dekoninck and Team Belfour were shutout in their first game, 1-0.

In the final game of the day, Colby Jaquet and Austin Lamotte helped Team Garbutt beat Team Schwartz, 5-2.

The action continues and will end tomorrow in Regina. Dauphin plays their first game after the break on Friday at Stride Place in Portage La Prairie. Darnell Duff will have the call of that game beginning with the Parkland Source for Sports pregame show at 7:15.
