Habitat for Humanity Ground Breaking Ceremony Held Last Night
The official ground breaking ceremony for dauphin’s second Habitat for Humanity home was held last night.
Many individuals from the community and dignitaries were present for the important kick off of the build project. Desiree Rantala, Marketing and media relations for the Dauphin chapter of Habitat for Humanity, talks about how the event turned out.
“I think this event went absolutely fantastic. You know what, normally they say third times the charm, but I think second times the charm. This is the second build in Dauphin. It’s the first one I’m being involved with, so I’m really excited to be involved. Like I said in my speech, I’m really excited to be involved with Habitat with Humanity on an international and regional level. It meant a lot to us to have people come out from near and far to attend this event even though it was a rainy day. And I think it couldn’t have gone any better concerning the circumstances with the weather."
The second home to be built in Dauphin is located at 30 -7th Avenue N.E.
