One person is Dead after a plane has crashed near the St. Andrews Airport north of Winnipeg according to the RCMP.
Just before 4:30 a.m. this morning RCMP were called to Highway 8 between Parkdale Road and McPhillips Road.
RCMP have said the highway is closed off in both directions and there is currently a detour at this time
The airport is located in the Rural Municipality of St. Andrews about 15 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
There is no report on what type of plane had crashed or injuries at this time.
