The annual 4H fundraiser in Dauphin is taking place today.
Five different sponsor locations throughout Dauphin have livestock that participants can guess the weight of.
4H will take all the entries and find out who has the closest guess with one winner taking home a half side of 4H beef. Ben Fox, president of the Dauphin Agricultural Society, talks about the event.
“It’s basically a fundraiser that the area clubs, 4H clubs, all come together and work together and man the booths. That sells tickets as far as, basically it’s a weight guessing completion. And they sell tickets and the money collected from those ticket sales go back into the local 4H clubs be able to give back to the kids so they can put on educational events throughout the year."
The 5 locations in Dauphin are Dean Cooley GM, McDonald's, Right-Side Equipment, Canadian Tire, and Showdra Meats.
