The RM of Lakeshore is holding public consultations this week seeking input into the review of the number of wards and boundaries for municipal elections.

Two meetings are planned for tomorrow and Wednesday. Reeve of the RM Clinton Cleave speaks about what information council is trying to find out.

“We’re seeking public input just to see what they think through these public meetings we’re hoping that we will have a good turnout regarding any input that they can give us. If they like the idea of 8 or if we maybe go back to 6 or even 4 we’re just throwing it out there, we don’t really know what the public thinks at this time and that’s the whole reason we are having these meetings.”

The first is planned to take place in the RM of Lakeshore council Chambers in Rorketon at 7 pm tomorrow. The second is scheduled to take place on Wednesday in the council chambers in Ochre River at 7.
