In July of 1926, a special act of parliament, was issued thus creating what would later be known as "The Royal Canadian Legion".
The Grandview Legion #14 Ladies Auxiliary is celebrating their 90th birthday this year as a member of The Royal Canadian Legion.
Grandview Legion #14 Ladies Auxiliary President, Heather Safronetz, has lots of great memories from being a member.
"Just all the fun we've had going to the different rallies and back in the day when we used to hold fun day curling events, and crib tournaments in the branch that we took part in and birthday parties for our Senior members and helping out our community and going to the different remembrance day suppers and dances back in the day."
To celebrate the 90th anniversary the Legion will be having a supper on July 28th for all members of the Auxiliary.
