Residents in the Parkland interested in fishing are encouraged to attend a public meeting tonight.

The Intermountain Sport Fish Ehancement Group is holding a very important public information meeting this evening at the 8th Avenue Hall in Dauphin.

According to ISFEG Co-Founder Don Stokotelny, the organization will be going into detail about the group's history.

"Basically it's to rejuvenate our Intermountain Sport Fishing group that's been operating for 30 years and we've had a few years of not a lot of activity, so we want to get a new membership and hopefully form a new executive [...] we'll be presenting the history of our group, a lot of the projects we've completed and where we want to go form here."

Stockotelny also feels that Dauphin Lake is a world class area for fishing, and that the group gives fishers a voice.

The free meeting begins at seven o'clock, anyone who attends  will also receive a free membership.
