Several Parkland communities now have take-home naloxone kits available.

Prairie Mountain Health says it's providing kits free of charge to those considered at risk for an opioid overdose.

PMH Director of Primary Health Care Pam Whitfield says a Registered Nurse will determine the risk of overdose through private conversation with an individual.

Initial sites that have the kits include Dauphin, Roblin, Swan River, Camperville, and Brandon. Waterhen will be added to the list in February.
