A review of Keystone Agricultural Producers' funding structure is underway.
Agriculture minister Ralph Eichler told an audience at Manitoba Ag Days yesterday a consultation process will begin immediately.
He says the current structure under the Agricultural Producers Organization Funding Act creates needless administrative costs for farmers, KAP and purchasers of ag products.
Eichler says that while any changes won't save the government money per se, the current structure does eat up time through bureaucracy.
