It's back to business for the RM of Dauphin.

The R-M held their first general meeting of the year today discussing the November financial statement, the provincial 2016 Fall Conditions Report and the ongoing issue of illegal night hunting to name a few.

According to Reeve Dennis Forbes, the R-M is also keeping a close eye on the rural water line project.

"We had a general discussion, we briefly touched base on a update on the rural water line and it's progressing as well as possible with the cold weather in Swan River. Our understanding is that they're on target to have that completed by the end of February."

Forbes also acknowledged the great work by crews in tackling snow removal efforts around the area so far.
