Wastewater and sewer services are being extended south in Dauphin, spurred by business development.
Mayor Eric Irwin says it was one business in particular.
"The project was originally motivated quite frankly by the new John Deere dealership. They're going down there, but they need this-- this is something that should've happened in the south end for some time."
Work on a lift station is expected to start right away.
