The Dauphin and District Community Foundation have named Hazel Yates Dauphin's Philanthropist of the Year.
Hazel Yates is a former board member of DDCF. She has been involved in several committees, most notably, in planning past gala events.
Hazel, and her late husband Terry are members of the Founders Club for the DDCF, and have been continuous donors to the foundation.
Yates was very humbled to receive this award.
"It means that I get a chance to think about all the good that the work is doing. I'm very honored and very humbled that I am the recipient of the award, it's a great honor."
Yates will be honored at the Dauphin Kings game on Wednesday night.
