This morning at the RM of Dauphin, council members met for the Bi-weekly council meeting.
At today's meeting, council discussed restructuring the funding for Dauphin Veterinary Services.
After a lengthy discussion, the Council finally approved the restructuring of the funding.
Reeve Dennis Forbes feels that restructuring where the funding is being used will be beneficial to small pet owners.
"Stats show that small animals make up sixty percent of the usage of the vet clinics compared to years back it was a higher of heavy animals.
It's a drop in numbers of large farm animals, and its more pets and other small animals."
