Faculty members are back in their classrooms today. The strike that lasted twenty one days came to an end over the weekend.

The University of Manitoba Faculty Association and the University were able to settle on the key issues that caused te strike, such as job security and teachers workload.

John Danakas is the Executive Director of Public Affairs with the University, and is pleased that the strike has come to an end.

"There's a huge sense of relief around the university, and it's great to welcome back all faculty. And of course to have students able to continue their studies without that disruption. So we're looking forward, to moving forward together as a university community."
