Brandon University are currently seeking a qualified instructor to teach a first year course here in Dauphin.
In partnership with Assiniboine Community College, BU has been offering courses at the Parkland Campus as a part of the school's First-Year Outreach Pilot Project.
Vice-President Academic Provost at BU, Steven Robinson is hoping the program can continue into a second year.
"The program hasn't attracted as many students in the first run here as we were hoping it would, and so that gives us a bit of hesitation...on the other hand, we started late in recruiting students this year and so hopefully if we can extend this into a second year then we'll get more students coming but we still got to make an assessment before we can decide that."
The course titled Introduction to Canadian Literature is scheduled to run in the second semester from January 4th - April 24th 2017.
