The clean up of a tornado in the Long Plains First Nation will have most of the people who were misplaced from their homes back before the holidays.

Clean up crews have been hard at work, rebuilding homes in the First Nation over the past month.

Liz Merrick, a councilor at the band office in Long Plains, says lots of people have been working on these homes.

"The roofing crew obviously, then dry wall if there's some dry wall that needs to be done, the painting that needs to be done-- we have these different people at each house that's getting done. They're trying to do like 10 houses and stuff."

A total of 600 people were affected by the tornado, with around 450 of them back home Monday.
