One of the most decorated veterans in Canada's history is getting a plaque in his honour in Manitoba's Legislative Building.
 
In recognition of Aboriginal Veterans Day, Indigenous and Municipal Affairs Minister Eileen Clarke today announced a plaque honouring Sgt. Thomas 'Tommy' Prince will go up in the the Hall of Honour.
 
Sgt. Prince served in both the Second World War and the Korean War. He is one of only three soldiers in the Second World War to receive both the Military Medal and the Silver Star.
 
Prince died in November 1977. He is buried in Brookside Cemetary in Winnipeg.
