Two Parkland fire departments teamed up to save someone from a vehicle stuck in the Ochre River.

Dauphin fire chief Cam Abrey says the DFD was dispatched to help the Ochre River fire department with a water rescue around 7 last night.

"It appears that the driver and his passengers were trying to cross Skane's Crossing to get to the other side. The area was completely submerged by water and apparently it's not the greatest crossing even in the summer time... with the high water it just made it that much worse."

Two people made it to shore on their own, but the fire departments had to use ropes to save one individual. No one was hurt.

Flood watches were put in place for parts of the Parkland yesterday, and some municipalities have warned travelers of water over roads and damaged roads.
