Teenage Girl Killed in Highway 1 Collision
A 17-year-old girl has died in a crash on the Trans-Canada Highway in Manitoba.
Police say she was the driver and only occupant of a car that was heading towards Headingley early yesterday.
It went into the ditch and rolled and she was ejected.
Police say alcohol does not appear to have been a factor, but that it appears she was not using her seatbelt.

Culture Days Continues with Dauphin Hosting Film Festival
A free film festival begins at the Countryfest Community Cinema in Dauphin at 1 today.
Films being shown include a documentary on Canada`s National Ukrainian Festival, and films by Danny Schur and Ed Stozek.
This is the final day of Dauphin`s Culture Days celebration.

Indigenous Legal System Introduced by Ontario First Nation Council
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne has introduced a unique legal system that will let band members settle disputes inside their territory.
It's the first to be created by indigenous people independent of the Indian Act or a self-governance agreement with Ottawa.
The 32 laws cover civil matters including tobacco regulations, sanitation, elections, property and wildlife conservation.

Coyotes in Winnipeg Dog Park
A man who was walking his dogs in an off-leash area in Winnipeg attracted a lot of interest from a group of coyotes, and police say there have been other incidents in the same park lately.
Police say the man was walking two large dogs in Kilcona Park on Friday night when three large coyotes circled them.
He made it back to his vehicle with his dogs, but the coyotes continues to follow as he drove away.
Police warn that coyotes are most active during sunrise and sunset hours.
They say park users should keep dogs on a leash, and pick up and carry small dogs if confronted.
