Two people have been charged after a two vehicle collision west of Dauphin -- the strange thing is they're both from the same car.

RCMP say a '95 Oldsmobile Cutlass tried to U-turn on Highway 5 and collided with a 2005 Chevy Silverado last night.

Police say as emergency crews approached, the male driver of the Cutlass fled on foot while a female passenger tried to drive the car away. The car drove 500 metres before hitting a ditch.

No one was seriously hurt but RCMP say a male and female were arrested for impaired driving.
