If you see people wearing pink, it's because it is International Pink day today.

International Pink day is a day celebrated every second Wednesday of April for communities across the country, and across the world, can unite in celebrating diversity and raising awareness to stop homophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, and all forms of bullying.

One of the Vice Principals at DRCSS, Gord Wood says that today Ryan Laird- who is a Canadian country music artist- put on a concert and presentation about bullying and anti-bullying from his "Bigger Than That" program.

"He had his own personal experience that he ties into his show. And that's very important that students were able to see somebody who has rose above and is successful and is working hard to accomplish his dreams."

Laird went and visit Gilbert Plains Collegiate Institute as well.
