The Dauphin City Council held its regular council meeting tonight. Here are some highlights from the meeting.
There were three public hearings, all of which were represented by Jillian Ungarian for conditional use applications. The applications are to allow the construction of two-family dwellings in a residential single-family zone.
The three applications are for 216, 220, and 224 Hawthorne Avenue, and the motion was carried for all applications with a number of conditions laid out by Mayor Laughland during the meeting.
Mayor Laughland touched on the City receiving money from the provincial government for Upgrades to the Watson Art Centre.
In correspondence dated May 26th, 2022 from Jeff Hnatiuk deputy minister of sports culture and heritage advising that the city of Dauphin has been awarded $25,000 through the heritage resource resources conservation grant program to assist with the window upgrades project at the Watson Art Centre.
