The province has detailed plans to consult with teachers and parents about a major overhaul to Manitoba’s education system announced last month.
Education Minister Cliff Cullen announced the creation of a parent task force, made up of MLAs, parents, and school and community leaders to help improve parent engagement in Manitoba schools.
The task force will lead 15 town halls to hear from each region about how to ensure parental involvement in the province's education system.

This comes as Manitoba is one of the highest spending provinces on education and getting among the country's lowest student achievement results.
