As part of their 25th anniversary of doing business in the Parkland, Dean Cooley GM in Dauphin has decided to give back.

The dealership presented a cheque on Saturday evening for $25,000 to the Dauphin and District Community Foundation, with the funds being directed to support healthcare.

General Manager Dean Cooley says the big donation has been in the works for a number of years.

He says there were some questions about whether this was the right time to make the donation, with business in the Parkland facing challenges due to COVID-19. “But at the same time, the community is looking for the support of one another. We concluded this was the perfect time to make a donation like this — to show Dauphin and the Parkland how much we appreciate their support over the last 25 years — and to direct the funds to healthcare, just makes a lot of sense right now.”

"We concluded this was the perfect time to make a donation like this — to show Dauphin and the Parkland how much we appreciate their support over the last 25 years."

Other events planned for Dean Cooley GM’s 25th anniversary have been put on hold until there’s a safer way to celebrate with staff and customers.

Cooley is thanking his customers for their support over the 25 years of doing business in the Parkland. He also wanted to recognize his employees  some of whom have been there from the very start.

“We’re pretty lucky to have the employees that we do.”
