Brian Pallister told his supporters in Dauphin this afternoon that his administration would change how the province's education system works.
Pallister believes giving more power to teachers will ensure kids get better educated.
"I want to see a province where our teachers are empowered and respected and able to mark and grade the way they feel is appropriate. I also want to see a system where the parents get better information. You need to be able to know how they're doing; was there progress or is there a problem?"
Pallister also said that putting more emphasis on rural communities will ensure kids all across the province get the education they deserve.
Some other topics included the New West Partnership, increasing tourism in the Parkland, and transparency.
Pallister says he wants Manitoba to be the leading government in Canada for openness.
Dauphin PC candidate Brad Michaleski was in attendance. He says he will work closely with Pallister to ensure the Parkland's tourism and agriculture industries gets the boost they needs.
