The Dauphin Kings have already earned more points on home ice through 12 games then they did all last year in 29.

They went to keep that going and they have that chance when Virden is in town this evening.

It's the fourth meeting between the Oil Caps and Kings this season. After a dismal start to the season, the Oil Capitals have turned it on. They're just a few points behind the Kings and are in a playoff spot.

"Dosch is playing very well for them and they have a lot of speed," said Doug Hedley. "Kanaski is scoring for them so we need to be on him. I think on Wednesday we were really good away from the puck and we didn't allow many odd-man rushes. That's what we need to do tonight."

Wednesday's shootout loss for the Kings was their first of the season. They were previously 3-0.

After tonight's game, the Kings will play nine December contests. Six of those will come away from Credit Union Place.

Dauphin's powerplay is at 16.8% on the season while their penalty kill is at 81.3%

Virden has a very strong powerplay at 21.8% and their penalty kill is also strong, and at 83.3%

It all goes down at 7:30 tonight.
