The Gysumville RCMP seized a stolen handgun, prescription drugs, and cocaine after a traffic stop on Saturday.

The stop was made after officers in Little Saskatchewan First Nation noticed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. During the stop, officers observed that the driver appeared to be impaired.

The driver was also breaching court ordered conditions according to the police database. Upon the arrest of the 2 occupants of the vehicle, officers found a loaded handgun, which was confirmed stolen from Grand Prairie, Alberta in 2022.

The driver, Shane Warren, and passenger, Terri Cruly, have been arrested and remain in custody on multiple charges for firearm and drug related offences.

The Gypsumville RCMP investigation is still ongoing.
