The Ste. Rose RCMP are working with local First Nation Safety officers to identify the dogs responsible for attacking a 22-year-old female.
On Saturday at 4:00 p.m., Ste. Rose RCMP responded to a female who had been mauled by four dogs on the Ebb and Flow First Nation. She was walking along Highway 278 in the community when the dogs approached and attacked her. The dogs are described as large breeds.
Two people witnessed the attack and helped the victim escape so she could return home and call for help.
She suffered significant injuries and had to undergo surgery at the hospital in Dauphin.
