Monday is the last day for businesses to register for a table at the Neepawa Job Fair, and according to Marilyn Crewe, the town's Economic Development Officer, there are plenty of good reasons to do so.

"It's an opportunity for businesses to set up and be in front of the public regarding any positions that they have available at this time. Last year we had 16 businesses and educators and 226 job seekers attend the event. There were 12 hires, and 11 pending, 1 month after the event," said Crewe.

She also talked about the benefits to attending the fair on the job seeking side of the tables.

"The employers that are there have jobs available. It's not a guess, you know that every booth has something that [job seekers] could be looking for," said Crewe.

Another benefit for both employers and job seekers is that there are no costs associated with attending the event.

"There is no cost for businesses to have a booth there, and there is no cost for the job seekers to attend," Crewe said.

Though the fair is being held on March 2nd at Neepawa Area Collegiate from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Monday is the last day for businesses to register.
