The Coldest Night of the Year Fundraiser is fast approaching, with this Friday being the last day you can sign up.
Sho-Sho Shuttleworth-Lafontaine, fundraising team leader, said that the fundraiser is held across Canada, and the proceeds for Dauphin are going to a great cause.
"In Dauphin, the fundraising dollars goes to the Dauphin Friendship Centre, their hot lunch program that serves hot meals twice a week to students in all the Dauphin schools."
Shuttleworth-Lafontaine said the experience she's had with her fundraising team, the DRCSS CREW, has been an amazing experience.
"It's been a good team building experience with the kids from the CREW group at the DRCSS," Shuttleworth-Lafontaine said.
When she found out that the Dauphin Friendship Centre had reached its goal of $25,000 raised, she said there's still a lot of time left to donate.
"We have 10 more days to raise it, I hope they double it!"
